In 1992, the Karabakhi forces started to implement their plan to re-take Shushi and stop the continued bombardment and blockading of Stepanakert, and Artsakh. In May 2012 a group of largely young people from Stepanakert and Shushi, under guidance from the original Commanding Officers, re-traced the footsteps of the 1992 Liberation Forces ending up at the main church in Shushi. A bright and fun day, important to remember, and iconic for the people of Artsakh. People from Georgia and England joined the walk.
